Yo. It's me again for a quick update.

I've finally quit school for the summer and it's awesome.
Now I have a job as telemarketer, working evenings so that I don't have to get up in the mornings, which is good. I don't enjoy the job very much. See ~nefarious-mel's latest journal for more info about that.

Considering my will and motivation to do photography, it's still somewhat on standby mode.
Though I got an old SLR camera from my grandpa which I think is very interesting to use, it's just that the batteries are run out and I can not replace them since they nowadays are illegal here in Sweden. It's mercury batteries if anyone is interested.
The result of that is that the light metering isn't working, so I have to guesstimate (thanks for the brilliant word Mitch) the exposures, or use my digital SLR to measure the light and then transfer the settings to the non-digital.
It's going to be interesting to see how that roll of film turn out. Perhaps you guys even get to see something uploaded!

Thats about it for this time, and don't forget;
I'm maybe not submitting anything, but I am watching the message center every single day.

Have a nice summer fellow deviants!

If this is any encouragement, I work in the second biggest photo-store in Canada (Montreal) and I can tell you that most of those old mercury batteries have replacements product. Just google the old battery number and you should be able to find that.

Ah, thank you very much for the input! I will do a search for it and see if any local dealer can supply it. Are they expensive?

Usually not. Here in Canada, you'd get that for around 10$.
